Radicals

Another comment, recapitulating on a few I wrote in response to one of Rintrah's posts--

What binds together internet radicals of various stripes (commie, wignat, radical environmentalist, historical LARPers) is not their stated goals and ideologies, but a sense of rejection from the mainstream of their country and from their actual selves. Notice how none of them call themselves 'an American' or 'a Californian' or whatever-- it's always a FAR more extreme position and stance than is found in 99% of the population or claiming a connection to a place that is far removed from the present. It's a mistake to be fooled by the words, though, and take their beliefs seriously. They have no actual intention of implementing them, nor do they really care about them that much (see how often they'll go through different ideologies, or LARP as being characters from a number of historical eras), it's more of a way of making themselves feel hip and interesting, rather than lame and boring, and to create a place where they can interact with other self-hating individuals. The only thing all of these radicals and their sub-cultures have in common is their disdain for 'the normies' / 'the sheep' / 'the low status' / 'carnists'-- one way or another, the majority of the population, just with a different name depending on which angle is emphasized by their LARPing.

Whenever these so-called hip and radical types are confronted with something actually radical-- populism-- they show themselves to be profoundly hostile and averse to it, not just indifferent or ignorant. They're seething defenders of the status quo, dressed up (through their endless words) as outsiders, which they may be socially but not politically. They have a profoundly elitist and contemptuous mindset, so doing something that would benefit the majority is anathema to them.

It's interesting to note that it's also this group that's consumed with revenge fantasies, school shooter syndrome, and a general heightened sense of being some kind of punisher / avenger of some sort.

  1. Related to the new war in Iran / ME, I also wrote in a comment that this had seen a rebrand from 'the white man's burden' to 'owning brown people', which it has. The tone has notably shifted from haughty and triumphalist to angry, seething, and vindictive.

This is because, after the collapse in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq, nobody believes in victory anymore or can float that as an outcome. They've internalized defeat, but instead of giving up they're determined to do as much damage as possible, out of a sense of spite. That way the continuation of the doomed status quo can be rationalized as 'getting even'.

A further irony of the situation is that the neocon right has fully embraced Social Darwinism and genetic superiority, right as America's behavior has become that of a ghetto. Losing, low-IQ, pathetic: lashing out randomly at innocent or powerless people, in order to build a reputation as a badass (which nobody believes), before getting taken out in a fight against someone that knows what they're doing.

The same applies to Israel, the Eric Harris state. None of their 'high IQ' behaviors serve their own interest. They don't get richer and more influential as a result of their genocide against the Palestinians, they're just destroying their own reputation in the region. They will have nothing to stand on as America becomes weaker and weaker, and nobody in Europe will be willing to rescue them.

Their wars against Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen resulted in the evacuation of the North of Israel (a first in their fight against Hezbollah, actually losing territory) and having to shut down their Red Sea port. Major blows to their economy and the credibility of their military and government, but apparently worth it because they can kill a few couple thousand more people before they fall apart.

  2. Another sad (and I say that sincerely) misunderstanding that a lot of Gen-Xers and older people have about today's young people is that they must be so much more open-minded, hip, anti-establishment, and so and so forth.

Take my word for it as a young person— they are not. Instead, they've become insanely prone to witch-hunting, closed off, disdainful of others, haughty / condescending, irony-poisoned, and just anti-social in general. This climate has produced endless cancellations, the vast majority of which were insane to begin with— destroying someone's life over an innocuous phrase or slip-up. It was just an excuse to indulge in a little sadism and punishment.

This type of attitude has also fueled the rise of revenge porn across all social media, just rebranded differently according to which demographic group it caters to. Watch stupid browns / blacks get OWNED by the cops, this retarded anti-vaxxer got what was coming to him, watch muzzies get blown up by drones, the popularity of the phrase 'fuck around and find out'... all endless variations on the same theme: namely, appointing yourself as judge, jury, & executioner and watching other people suffer deservedly as a result of something they've done wrong, then going overboard in punishing them to prove a point.

Even on social media, they mostly hang out with people they agree with 100% on all the issues. Wow, so open, so out there- literally not able to make friends with someone that comes from a different perspective or background.

They're not open at all, they're closed off.

In fairness, this doesn't describe all of young people, but it is a significant and super-influential minority. The fact that this minority exists at all, shows that the average has shifted in the direction of insanity / anti-social tendencies, not in the direction of empathy, open-mindedness, tolerance, etc.

  3. It's really just a rebrand of neoliberalism (stale, failed) from triumphant and secure Boomers to the emo and precarious Millennials.

Millennials are very nerdy people. They grew up under helicopter parents (unlike Gen-X, Boomers) and never really went outside much or did anything other than plug their brains into screens for hours and hours. They never got to be part of a team, or hang out with each other, or do anything really active or interesting until they were in their 20s. So they don't have a lot to show for empathy, since they didn't get a chance to develop it growing up. That's one reason (underdeveloped social sense) they're collectively addicted to revenge fantasies. Naturally the rebrand of neoliberalism has embraced that, whether they're against normie workers ('low status') in the core nation who want populism or Muslims ('browns') in the periphery who don't want their societies to be destroyed by the Pentagon / CIA.

Millennials are also perpetually downwardly mobile, the opposite of the super-wealthy Boomers. They were sold a tremendous set of lies about the future, the value of a college degree, the economy, and so on, at a time when it was still possible to believe in those things. Now they're in debt, or stuck at dead-end jobs, living with roommates, and clearly going nowhere, which amps up their bitterness and dissatisfaction. However, they're too meek and submissive as a generation to stick it to the establishment (which is responsible for the mess they're in). This is also why the populist Trump movement got into office, despite being hated by his own party ('New York Values', etc) unlike the Bernie movement-- Trump was backed by older voters, who were more willing to give the middle finger to the whole neoliberal establishment, whereas the younger crowd that supported Bernie gave in and backed off despite getting raped by their own party.

So they now resort to seeking out people weaker than them, to give them something to laugh about and feel good about, since there's so little of that in their personal lives. They desperately need a way to feel better about themselves, since there's they have so little of that in their personal lives. Punching down.

The whole thing is so pathetic.

  4. A lot of these things also apply to Zoomers, too, including myself.

I mainly got lucky because (unlike most kids in the 1st world) I was encouraged to go outside and socialize, not stay inside. I wasn't as free as Gen-Xers or Boomers were, where they could just disappear for hours, but I wasn't locked inside either. I also got lucky because my parents were cooky academics, but in the good way (that also explains the more mature tone, b/c I've read a lot). Even now that everything is on the internet and everyone is terminally online, I can't just stare at a feed for hours, I have to do something active (writing, drawing, reading, listening to music). And I still go outside, even though there just isn't much to do anymore.

But yeah, a lot of Gen-Z and Millennials are unfortunately zombie screen-starers, who plug their brains into digital opium, day in day out. Totally passive, inert, LOW ENERGY, glib... no hobbies or interests. A sad, sad, life.

The one big advantage Zoomers have over Millennials is that we were out from the beginning, whereas they always had one foot in, one foot out, within the system. Millennials grew up in the End of History, information highway, one bubble after another, period. Whereas by the time Zoomers got on the scene, the formative memories (politically) were: disastrous wars and catastrophic failure in the M-E, meltdown of the whole fucking economy, then the stagnant and falling standard of living over the past ten years (which nobody did anything about, just spout lies about how everything was going), and now the open collapse of the entire social order, economy, faith in the experts, and military as of 2020.

Fucking crazy to experience all that, on the one hand, but also clearing away any delusions about "just go to college" or "work hard" or "everything is fine". I think it's made us better people, or at least we all share an internal expectation that things are going to get worse. Might as well take some risks, then.

We're also actually able to stick it to the establishment, not really collectively so far (too young), but individually. Luigi Mangione, Kyle Rittenhouse, the guy who set himself on fire for Palestine. Millennials LARP as the most badass of the badass warriors, the highest IQ cynical race realists / enlightened drug users, the most superior to the inferior normies that shop at Walmart, on and on and on it goes. Then in the real world all of this pathetic masturbation stuff evaporates quickly and they turn out to be slaves / unpaid propagandists / hardcore supporters of a system that doesn't even provide for them!

(And even in the few cases where they act on their thoughts, it takes the form of shooting up a school filled with defenseless classmates, killing a Trump supporter as part of a mob, destroying someone's life on social media, again as part of a mob. Always with the sanction of the establishment, always with the upper hand, always attacking someone weaker.)

  5. Even as a 7 yr old, I was already past the stage of 'what if I disappeared, then my parents would regret not buying me an Xbox' and 'I'm gonna show them how wrong they were for not treating me the way I fucking deserve' (by blowing up my school, and showing them that I'm actually even worse than they assumed). I understood-- like most normal, empathetic, people -- that if you want praise and belonging, you have to seek it in some way shape or form. If you want to call yourself high IQ and knowledgeable, you have to read and consult experts (real experts, that is) and digest what they have to say, not just repeatedly assign that title to yourself, while descending into delusions about the state of the world. If you want people to like you and hang out with you, you have to make yourself likeable, not reject any social contact with others ('inferiors') as beneath you.

It leads to a doom loop of constant low self-esteem, since you're getting feedback about how unproductive, unaccomplished, and socially isolated you are in the real world, but you refuse to take any steps to fix those issues because apparently that would be beneath you.

Anyways, the fact that all of these freakish things have become mainstream is another sign of the fucked up state of the world. And I'm not hallucinating, you can find this tone of contempt and rage across a good deal of social media.

Both parties heavily indulged in them, too. Trump with the immigrants and foreign nations, the Democrats (cluelessly out of touch) with their own base of working class and former middle class people. At least Trump was smart enough to avoid insulting ordinary Americans and instead turned the anger away toward outsiders. Not a high bar to clear for electability or some kind of genius move, but that's just how awful the woke Democrats have become.

The only satisfaction I take from the whole sad spectacle is watching the various revenge fantasies blow up massively in the face of reality, exposing their supporters as impotent losers, not high IQ evolutionary winners.

    Some examples:

Kamala / Biden-- let them eat cake, won't do anything different, voters should STFU about inflation and just vote blue, proud of endorsements by warmongering Republicans. All of that just to come up pathetically short on election day, not to mention Biden getting dumped like garbage BY HIS OWN PARTY before the election. They even lost the most anti-Israel demographic in the entire nation-- Muslim immigrants, who voted for a Republican candidate. Amazing achievement.

Neocon GOP wars, fuck around and find out, owning 3rd world countries, pretending to be crusaders-- humiliated by shepherds in Afghanistan, then the Red Sea was shut down by a country most Israel supporters didn't even realize existed. Not to mention the Russians retaking Ukraine, a huge win for anyone with a sense of dignity.

Hopefully the neocons will do the rest of us a favor and get vaporized by Persian missiles and drones, in order to restore some karmic balance.

  6. It's like you're repeatedly warning someone that by speeding down a certain road they're going to drive off a cliff and plunge to their death. They should read the signs on the side of the road, as well as heed the well-meaning advice given to them by others. Informing someone they're going to fail doesn't imply contempt or hatred, at least not if the advice is delivered politely, it's just the natural adult thing to do (as opposed to feeding their delusions).

However instead of listening to you, or paying attention to the warnings, the driver of the car gives you the middle finger, tells you to fuck off, and informs you that you are a low status ignorant moron, out of touch with the newest studies, and incapable of recognizing that he, the driver of the car (who is about to commit suicide) is a superior Darwinian specimen. So just step aside, loser.

Then they step on the gas, drive the car off the cliff, and plunge to their death.

  7. I think a lot of genetic reductionism and sneering is also a repackaged cope, to alleviate the depressive symptoms that naturally arise during the collapsing stage of the system. Not much to brag about, when things are falling apart, which is why you need to alleviate the pain / cognitive dissonance / despair by comparing to some other even worse shithole. Of course, by indulging in that kind of behavior you (implicitly) lower the standards for the 1st world, but who cares? It's just a way of distracting from the endless downward mobility, cratering trust, deindustrialization, and the loss of all the qualities that made life in America / the West great.

They use a glib, joyless, tone because that's what they are-- opium-huffers, addicts, always on a treadmill.

The infrastructure is collapsing, planes are falling out of the sky --> at least we don't live surrounded by garbage like India, amirite?

The new norm is never having a stable well-paying job, living with your parents or with roommates until you're 50 --> at least we're not Guatemala (or w/e random 3rd world shithole they substitute in).

Nobody gets married or stays together, drugs, alcohol, and dysfunction become rampant --> at least we belong to glorious Western civilization.

Entire street becomes covered not just with trash but also infested with anti-social bums living in tents --> get used to it, this is normal.

    On and on it goes.

  8. The propaganda is still veeeeeeeeery neoliberal, so I doubt there will be big changes or shake-ups during Trump's 2nd term.

The only silver lining is, as others have noticed too, that globalism and neoliberalism are very weak and shaky, so the deteriorating situation will make people more desperate for change, since we can't even take precarious stability for granted anymore. Interesting times lie ahead, for sure...

Related to that: what would populist, anti-neolib, propaganda or rhetoric look like on immigration?

First of all, they would have to name and shame yuppies, efficiency-maximizers, and the other powerful supporters of greed-is-good, rent-seeking, policies. Yuppies are mostly white (not brown), male (not female), affluent (not workers or students), suburban (not urban or rural), and moderate to conservative (not communists or radicals), so the exact opposite of who the current propaganda targets. The current Republican BS focuses either on 3rd world peasants, who have no power of their own to throw around in America politically, or radical students on campus, who are vocal but not influential either.

The policy of open borders is nothing but a way for global corporations to secure a pipeline of cheap labor from the 3rd world, at the expense of Americans. It has very little with cultural values, and everything to do with wealthy and powerful interests that essentially make government policy. Flooding the 1st world with immigrants is a way of minmaxxing their cost structures: the burden falls on the taxpayer, since the immigrants rely on the state / welfare, while they reap the benefits of having a pool of cheap labor to exploit, in the form of higher profits. As Taleb says, heads I win, tails you lose.

The effect of immigration is disastrous for the working class, as it lowers the minimum wage (immigrants will work for less) as well as working conditions (immigrants are easily exploited) not to mention the resulting higher prices for rent, food, and all kinds of services due to soaring demand. Adding more and more people further strains the infrastructure, too.

So far none of the propaganda has looked at the average workplace where the immigrants were employed or even bothered asking how and why they got hired in the first place. Given that we're led by God-fearing American patriots and tough-on-crime race realist Republicans, this should have been goddamn impossible. I suppose we're meant to believe that a bunch of 3rd world peasants stormed into the most powerful country in the world, defeated the US Army (despite having no weapons), and then forced the owners and managers of that country to make them pick fruit for $3 an hour, unusual behavior for nomadic raiders.

Ignoring the "demand" side of the equation and focusing only on the "supply" is why tough-on-crime policies and raids do not do anything to curb waves of immigration. At best, they remove the more violent types (though of course only after they've already committed a crime here), but even they will only be replaced by new waves of immigrants, some of whom will go on to commit crimes too, since the "demand" side of things remains the same.

These greedy yuppies and corporations should be the ones to be targeted by raids, made an example of, and generally punished-- they're the ones who deserve to bear the brunt of popular anger over disastrous immigration policies. Morality aside, they also have a lot more money than immigrants, so they're also the ones who should be paying for whatever reforms need to be made. They didn't do anything legitimate or beneficial in order to earn that money, they just figured out a very efficient way of cheating everyone else, driving the prospects of the American working class into the ground, and making tons of money off the whole Ponzi scheme, so they don't deserve to keep any of it. It's the public that deserves compensation after having been screwed over and lied to for so long. It would be a sign of skin in the game, fairness, real change, rather than the same old garbage.

  9. Another old argument is that immigration is about helping the 3rd world, which mainly resonates with liberals. You know, being a good neighbor, lifting people up, and all that.

It's a more powerful argument because it appeals to sympathy, rather than anger or racism like Republican tough-on-crime or race realist narratives. Few people are racist, or enjoy seeing weak people GET OWNED, except for hyper partisan weirdos on the internet. Sympathy is a more appealing, humane, natural emotion than disdain or rage, which is why it's harder to argue against.

I think the natural response is to simply and bluntly draw attention to the terrible state of society for the bottom 80%, and make the point that, regardless of how people feel about race, America 1st, or the rest of it, we simply can't afford to let in more people because our own people are already in big trouble. More and more of our own citizens are sinking into dire poverty, which is more and more prevalent each year, no matter what smug slogans the media repeats in order to handwave away from it. If immigration has to be sacrificed in order to protect our own people, then that's just the way it is-- it makes no sense to try to take care of the whole world, if we can't even look after ourselves or our own country.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm socially conservative, never really been a lib, but conservative and Republicans are easily the most foolish and deluded on issues like wealth inequality and greed. How did the French and Russian aristocrats wind up? Real cohesive countries do not have Gilded Age levels of mass poverty, and those that do inevitably wind up with revolutions, coups, civil wars, unrest, and all the rest of it.

I guess they think if they send Ben Shapiro to explain how, actually, elitism is okay-- everyone will just quietly accept it. Or maybe if they amp up the based edgy racist memes on social media, from 20% to 80%, everyone will suddenly become enthusiastic about mass poverty, failed foreign wars, and the rest of it.

Words and stock phrases and memes don't matter, actions matter-- and especially the actions of people with skin in the game. Most narratives are simply desperate attempts to alter reality through magical thinking-- if I keep saying it's not happening, maybe it won't happen. If I fool myself, maybe I'll fool others.

Creating an echo chamber for yourself just makes you weaker and dumber, not more powerful, and it dooms you to failure when you try to interact with reality.

Case-in-point: the collapse in Afghanistan, which has been minimized and rationalized from the earth-shaking defeat it was (after twenty years and trillions wasted) to now a merely unsuccessful mismanaged withdrawal. Nonetheless, no matter how the victory parameters and objectives have been tweaked (so that copers don't have to face reality) it still blew up the whole Pax Americana. Every actor with skin in the game, as opposed to insulated weapons contractors and billionaires who get paid to fail, realized the US military was a paper tiger and acted accordingly. No amount of fake & gay arguing will restore things to the status quo before 2020.

Today's shrinkflation, corporate price-gouging, and the rest of it will have a similar effect on faith in the system and compliance, regardless of whether the economic meltdown is covered by the media. People with skin in the game, Americans who live here, who have to buy groceries and pay rent, and are attuned to their material prospects, will slowly come to terms with the fact that the game is rigged, and the elites are unwilling to do anything to fix it. This will naturally result in some form of action, maybe sooner rather than later, which today's elites have decided to blind themselves to, meaning that it will hit them even harder.

Back in 2016 or 2020, there was still hope that things would go down the easy path, with the system reformed or saved from within. Now it looks like they've elected for a major breakdown, desperately trying to maintain an unsustainable system. It won't be fun, but is exactly what their policies and actions will result in.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There is also a similar shift in the propaganda from 'look how wonderful we are, it's two-thousand and...') to openly slandering the past instead and mocking anyone who has some fondness or nostalgic attachment to it. It's a deliberate campaign to lower standards, so today's people can feel better about themselves and just how bad the situation is starting to become. For example, things like the Handmaidens Tale or other hysterical lies that try to present the 1950 / 60s as being some kind of terrible dystopia, or just the general tone of social media where nostalgia is dismissed as problematic, naive, out-of-touch, gets you called a Boomer, etc.

The worldview is rationalized in various ways, like 'everything has always been shitty', so that the inhabitants of today's society don't have to feel cognitive dissonance. It even allows them to feel a good deal of pride.

Meanwhile, the real comparison isn't even close:

We can't fly planes from point A to point B-- they put a man on the moon. We can't repair or maintain the infrastructure, which in many cases openly collapses and nothing gets done about it-- they built most of it. We can't even keep the streets clear of junkies, or defeat militaries with 1/100th of our funding-- they won a massive world war and had a clean, organized, society. Studies and experts have no credibility (no better than flipping a coin, at best, and outright fraud at worst), and all the things that matter like public health, social cohesion, trust in authorities, have been in decline for decades-- they trusted their experts, and felt like the next step was flying cars, landing on Mars, etc. It goes on and on.

They just hyper-fixate on one or two unwholesome aspects ('omg smoking', 'omg lead'), so they can drown out the broader collapse.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The left is also fucked on this issue, though for different reasons.

For a lot of them, it's still the 2000s / culture war era. Back then, the main debates on both sides were centered around the personal values of the candidates. For the Republicans, how well did they embody the ideals of Christian Values. For the Democrats, how marginalized (the further from the mainstream, the better). Now, as discussed above, it mainly takes place on social media and less so IRL, but the focus is still on personal beliefs and habits.

Crucially, there was no focus on the health of the nation, state of the economy, foreign policy, and so on-- all of those material issues were side-lined or ignored in favor of those personal, value-related, obsessions.

Immigration reveals the split between the establishment leftists and the populist types because it's culturally progressive, while economically libertarian, and so it forces them to choose: do you care about OWNING the rightoids / giving the middle finger to the normies, or are you focused on material outcomes?

Old school leftists emphasized the latter (to their great credit), namely that immigration devastates the working class, undercuts labor unions, is only good for greedy corporations, and so on. Today's mainstream leftists are too focused on achieving degenerate outcomes (trannies, abolishing the police, wokeness, legalizing drugs, upholding mental illness, and so on) to really care about the actual economic effects of their policies, and would shrug their shoulders if they did know about them.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Critics of the establishment should also internalize that it's no longer the 1950s, when it comes to the behavior and symbols of the system. Wealth, authority, influence and power in America isn't the man in the grey flannel suit giving you a direct order-- it's more like some drab-looking HR 'person', probably gay or queer or whatever, giving you a little bit of a friendly chat in their office about, like, how things have been going. Back then they bossed you around at work, while you were free in your private life-- today not only do you still get bossed around, they own your behavior outside of work, and on top of that they torture you by maintaining a layer of well-paid morons and idiots right above you. It's a constant reminder that not only does meritocracy not exist, but that the people who run the country are so rich and powerful they can afford to have a whole class of parasites doing nothing while you slave away for less and less.

'Weirdness' and 'non-conformity' have also been fully embraced by global capitalism and major corporations today, unlike in previous decades. This also why I rail a lot against drugs, tattoos, thinking you're cool because you're an outsider-- it's not that I'm offended or hostile to individuals that indulge a little bit or whatever, it's that all of these things are no longer non-mainstream or marginal values, they're PRECISELY the values that are pushed onto the majority as being cool, hip, new, etc.

So different from all those stuffy generals in the Pentagon, who could never understand how we kids feel! Wow, OMG! SO HIP! Finally a breath of fresh air, after all those old out-of-touch Boomers nearly caused WW3.

Yet all of those social-cultural values are perfectly compatible with the upcoming war with Iran, which he is 100% on board with. No tension or hostility, no hesitation, the agenda is the exact same as that of his neocon counterparts of the early 2000s.

  16. Just like all those punk bands shilling for Hillary Clinton.

That's why a lot of Gen-Zers are swinging to the right. No they're not becoming Ben Shapiro GOP supporters / apologists, but it's more like they realize that these so-called radicals and weirdos are commissars for the establishment, doing the dirty work of suppressing dissent for them (and for free, in many cases).

    ReplyDelete
  17. Mainstream right-wingers and left-wingers are just two different flavors of degeneracy these days, with the only difference being which part of America / the West they target for destruction.

For left-wingers, it's social degeneracy (legalize all drugs, I can do whatever I want whenever with however, the majority / normies deserve to be punished, trannies, and on and on). For right-wingers, it's economic (it's my money I can do whatever I want, defund all public services, flood the society with garbage, and on and on for them).

They're just using this unique moment of chaos and instability as a chance to indulge in as much corrosive societal destruction as possible, now that the opportunity is there. Stealing all of the wealth for the corporate Reaganite scum and destroying / effacing as much of America as possible for the degenerate leftists.

Then they whine about muh fascism (when people are disgusted by the normalization of drug abuse, homelessness, and mental illness) or muh communism (when people are disgusted by corporate price-gouging, the collapsing bridges and roads, and lack of maintenance over anything).

  18. It's worth keeping in mind that, in general, any self-description or branding online usually means the person is the opposite of that IRL. So for the socially Darwinist "superior" types, this is really a declaration of their impotence and low status.

The only other group of guys who have to regularly praise themselves for being enlightened, superior, high IQ, genetically gifted, and so on are mass shooters. In fact, a lot of the online slop is not that different from what some of those freaks would write as a suicide note, before going on a shooting spree.

The real alpha males / superior types are of course not bitter rejects who lash out at defenseless people, but the responsible adults who put themselves in the line of fire in order to neutralize the threat.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think another source of this stuff is coping for the neoliberal destruction of society, including the family, community, and economy.

Real world status or satisfaction doesn't come your genes or lineage, which is WAY too abstract, it comes from feeling productive, feeling like a necessary part of a unit outside of your individual self. This can be a family (nuclear or extended) or a community (village, city, state, country, etc), but it has to be something tangible.

For many young people, those things have all been ripped up by globalism and individualism, so they have nowhere to feel that from. Their real world communities and workplaces and families-- to the extent they exist at all-- are atomized, fragmented, dysfunctional, and sterile. That's why they turn to increasingly desperate solutions in order to feel basic self-esteem. Bragging about their own genetic make-up, joining radical cyber-communities, LARPing as all kinds of colorful characters, adopting religions from regions they have no tangible connection to, hard drugs, and on and on.

    ReplyDelete
  20. They're trying to escape their own internal misery with substitutes and cheat codes. As in, they hate themselves or their family, feel like their job / society sucks, they're going nowhere, or some other deficit, but they can't or won't address it, so they turn to substances as a distraction.

The worst thing about it is the massive psyop of calling it "against the grain", "disruptive", "radical", when it's really only become more and more mainstream and normal. Drug stores get opened on every corner, more and more young people rely on hard drugs, every podcaster / influencer has done ayahuasca-- so edgy. It's just normalizing coping with a dysfunctional / abusive society (by trying to escape to a less miserable alternate dimension).

Also, from personal experience, most long-term drug users are not open minded or fun anyways. If your whole lifestyle consists of shutting yourself in your room, while relying on a cocktail of substances to get through the day / feel pleasure, how open-minded are you really? It doesn't get more closed off or anti-society than that, you might as well just be a lab rat. You're basically saying that you're so superior to everyone else that you don't need them for your emotion needs-- your genius IQ brain has figured out a simple trick, a brilliant hack, in order to bypass the need for other people, community, and belonging.

Of course, it never works, it just creates a very temporary artificial stability, before inevitably collapsing.

And then on top of all those lies they fabricate endless BS about how much better they are, how much more enlightened, hip, and sophisticated, as a result of taking substances. Interact with them for a second, even on the Internet, and they wind up being EVEN MORE conformist, sanctimonious, petty, and whiny than normies, Boomers, or the mainstream, or any of the groups they feel superior to. An entire crowd of people whose sole emotion is anger, and whose only purpose in life is witch-hunting and hostility and ruining things for everyone else.

  21. In warfare, a major humiliation ( when there was a lot of bad blood between the two sides) was to wear or display the enemy's skin, going even further than just killing him off.

Serial killers also usually do something like that, or at least a good chunk of them do.

A similar thing is occurring when you look at the rebel / outsider branding taken on by a good chunk of the establishment. It's not just that they're not the radicals and outsiders they purport to be, as if they merely failed or fell short, it's as if a major selling point-- which they get off on personally-- is adopting the language and symbols of their enemies, only for fundamentally opposite goals. The edgy racist right-wing case for-- another failed war in the M-E, or another round of globalism and deindustrialization. Radical climate activism-- that comes out in force in favor of sweatshops in the 3rd world, raping the shit out of the environment for higher profit margins... you get the idea.

Why? I think because they've become so corrupted by their own anger that they no longer have any humanity left, which becomes clear once you interact with them online. It's like a person entirely driven by hatred and fury, all of which is directed at punishing everyone else, being a wannabe hall monitor / enforcer, a self-righteous sperg, and so on. They're empty husks that have no humanity left, which is why they need the drugs (and moral outrage and fury) to give them a rush that will allow them to make it through the day. Disgusting.

  22. I think Gen-Zers and other young people (real ones, not in their 30s and 40s) should repurpose Boomer, and use it specifically on Millennials, given how many of their awful obsessions and fetishes are all over social media.

Also because we need to consciously distinguish ourselves from the whole 'young people' brand, otherwise all their toxic garbage will be attached to us forever.

I've already mentioned and discussed the revenge fantasies, which are everywhere. Revenge fantasies against my high school classmates, against my parents, against landlords, against the Palestinians, against Trump voters, against everyone and anyone, who cares: I'M ANGRY!

It's just a bunch of losers who use their special victim status ('I was abused') as an excuse to lash out at everyone else. It's never motivated by righteousness or pity or sympathy, it's just a sociopathic desire to punish someone else and indulge in rage and anger. And usually their victims are innocent, on top of that! As psychos, they know better than to pick a fight with someone who can defend themselves. Beyond pathetic.

Another one of their giveaways is their insane degree of self-focus and narcissism, which takes the form of crafting a unique, special, so out there, shocking, persona. So unique, so hip, so weird, your normie / lame / mainstream / Boomer brain won't be able to comprehend it, that's how special and unique I am! LOL.

Meanwhile, in 2025, this applies to literally 95% of social media, it literally INFESTS the Internet, and couldn't be more mainstream and played out and boring.

This applies to both the woke / tranny / drug-induced slop-posting philosophers and spiritual seekers on the left, as well as the edgelord racist posters on the right (who are also slop-posters like their left-wing counterparts). Sometimes they mix both traits, too.

'Shocking to the normies'-- yes, a decade ago. Now it's just old, but they're trying to pass it off as new, original, exciting, and whatever, so that their lazy uninsightful brains don't have to do any work or research of their own.

This self-obsession ties into their refusal to communicate sincerely, in a way that is respectful towards the viewer or broader audience, as communicating sincerely would indicate being equal with other people-- can't do that! You have to make it a point, in every aspect of the conversation, that you're WAY above the people you're talking to. 'You should be lucky a special, high IQ, amazing snowflake like me is condescending to communicate to a lower person such as yourself. Now here, take these crumbs / low effort slop, and be grateful.'

This is why the way they all talk in a way that is either over the top ('nigger, faggot, cuck, Boomer') and filled with insults-- though you can tell it's not motivated by genuine anger-- or it's lower-case, no punctuation, and sad / limp / empty / mocking tone. And again, sometimes mixing both, depending on the particular account.

So high IQ and enlightened that the only way they know how to talk is like a whiny child! xD!

Yes, there are some exceptions to this pattern, but by and large it applies to 95% of them.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's the same with IQ / genes / mental illnesses, which they've somehow repurposed into amazing accomplishments of their own, as if being born with something automatically makes you great.

I didn't realize it when I first stumbled into the IQ / genetic discourse. I thought it was a bunch of people who were interested in the human mind and IQ specifically, or who were interested in human culture, ancestry, genetics, etc, but who found themselves marginalized by academia.

Nope, couldn't have been more naive! Turns out the whole thing is a feeding trough for a bunch of losers with no accomplishments, who demand an endless stream of validation about how wonderful they are, there's no broader interest in anything outside of that. It's just another way of justifying their insanely inflated self-esteem, giving themselves a trophy, and with no work required other than passively being born. Amazing!

Just ask one of those posers: 'OK, special one, so what have you done with this amazing, unique, DNA? What wonderful projects have you been able to complete, thanks to your amazing ancestry? It should come easy to you, given your illustrious lineage. So blow us away, start listing your accomplishments...'

IRL they have of course accomplished nothing, discovered nothing, created nothing. Some of them can't even leave the house without having a mental breakdown. The most any of these posers has to brag about is being functional mature adults, with stable jobs, in a relationship, and being able to take care of themselves instead of living at home with their parents. A very low standard for achievement (in fairness, this is also due to the economy), which is why they won't say it openly, and instead turn to these dazzling metrics in order to have something to brag about.

    Again-- sad!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Notice the similarity:

    'I was abused'

'I am high IQ / genetically gifted'

They always announce this entirely unprompted, always interjecting to just let you know how special and unique they are and how envious you should be of them.

It never goes in reverse. Nobody will tell them:

'Wow, you're so talented, you've created and discovered such amazing things. What makes you so unique?'

    or

'Wow, you're so emotionally sensitive and empathetic. What's your background like, how did you grow up?'

Could never happen, because they're the exact opposite of those things.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Even aside from their non-existent accomplishments, most of them aren't even connected to the culture they constantly brag about, in the high or low aspects.

For example, in their diets, they mainly eat vegetables, plus fish.

Well, Indo-Euros were nomads and herders, not a sedentary civilization reliant on grains and vegetables. The fact that we, their descendants, eat cheese and milk (lactose), wear and use wool, consume higher amounts of animal products... all those are a tangible reminder of our once-nomadic / herder past, even if we've settled down to civilized life. It's a distinctive inheritance that sets us aside from the civilized people we came into contact with as we expanded.

Somehow they're doing the EXACT OPPOSITE of their glorious ancestors, embracing the diet of sedentary civilization, while at the same time bragging about their heritage. Bizarre!

Not to mention they don't know any high culture or history or biology (or anything, really). It's not like they've read all of Shakespeare, are extensively familiar with Gothic architecture, astound you with their knowledge in some obscure sub-field, and so on and so forth. They have the same superficial knowledge as everyone else, and in some cases they're MORE ignorant than the average normie (who doesn't claim to be a high IQ paragon) all while bragging about their amazing intellectual gifts.

Conclusion: all this stuff is just an excuse for pathetic self-worship.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Wow, wait a minute. Hold your horses there, son.

Did you just use a racial slur? On the internet?! In 2025?!

D-did you j-just point out that religion is a lie?! Whatttttt?? Who told you that!?????

A-are those trannies?? On MY inter-web forum? wOw!!!

This stuff is so shocking, so mind-blowing, so out there, sooooo radical... I'm not sure my primitive normie brain can handle it!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Shifting the focus away from scholarly or intellectual accomplishments, and towards IQs, test scores, and other metrics, is a way of coping for the fact that more and more guys are basically NEETS these days, in America / the West. They're not productive at all, and it's not just that they're not productive in the sense of not working some boring pointless retail or food service job, which is understandable-- they don't make anything, they don't repair anything, they don't contribute in some non-financial way, or solve problems or accumulate knowledge, they hardly have any skills. Some of them can barely groom themselves, or cook their own meals!

Their whole life is just consuming content on some feed, relying on the constant novelty-- plus whatever drugs or junk food or video games-- just to get through the day. It's really like a massive group of overgrown children, who have never gotten to the stage where you start to take an interest in things outside of yourself. And they can't even admit how much their lives suck, or try and go after the people who left them in that state, which is why the cook up this slop about being "superior, high IQ, enlightened". And of course they get some of their anger and self hatred out by trying to pick fights online, or jerking off to revenge porn, or overdosing on rage-- that way they won't feel so miserable when they look at themselves.

That's also why they shame anyone who focuses on the real world, as opposed to the airy-fairy discussion about genes, lineages, races, and on and on. Like, why is everything crumbling? Why can't we seem to fix things anymore? Why can't we get a job right the first time (instead of having to repair things 1,000 times)? Why are all kinds of useful skills, which once were common, vanishing from everyday life? Why does nothing work?

But the buses running on time, and the roads and bridges not falling apart, are all normie concerns. Better to just dismiss all of that as beneath you, mere material concerns which you-- a genetically gifted amazing superior Darwinian specimen-- don't have to consider, since you exist in a higher realm above all of that. Then they spend their whole day in their room, are NEETs in their 40s, have to be taken care of by literal (or spiritual) nannies, and on and on. Just a pathetic & empty cope to distract from the real state of affairs.

    ReplyDelete
  28. In many ways, it's the same thing with a lot of the discourse about collapse, apocalypse, climate disaster, foreign invasion, etc etc etc.

They're trying to re-direct the source of the ongoing breakdown to an external cause, since that doesn't require a lot of introspection. It's generally easier to blame foreigners or storms or resource depletion or whatever than look at yourself or your countrymen.

(Not that those things are great, either-- but I just don't seem as that central.)

The economic and societal collapse we're going through has much more to do with the people at the top discarding notions like sacrifice, providing for others, taking care of things, and the rest of the civic values, and instead worshiping ME, ME, ME. That's really the guiding norm of America in the 21st century, and naturally this attitude of insane self-focus & self-worship has rotted everything and left the society in a state of ruin. People have become so degenerate that they are addicted to fighting each other, not even for some material or tangible benefit, but just for the sake of it. We are also more self-obsessed than ever before.

But again, talking about civic values, trust & cooperation-- normie obsessions, instantly dismissed as worthless. "What are you some Boomer from the 50s?" There's nothing sexy about sweeping the streets, or repairing the infrastructure, or providing for your kids, at least not compared to LEVELING UP on social media, or buying a 2nd house or a new car, or acquiring more gear for some autistic collection.

    ReplyDelete

  29. It's more brave, and more honest, to just admit how much your life sucks and how much you hate your society, than try and spin this disaster as AKSHUALLY a wonderful, functional, best-of-all-possible worlds, type of paradise.

That's what I do. Not that I hate myself or hate the people I work with, it's not misanthropy or low self-esteem or seething rage or depression. I just don't lie to myself about how awful the current moment is, and how fucked we are in the long run. That way I don't have to spend the whole day dealing with cognitive dissonance, plus the other emotions like loneliness / isolation, lack of purpose, nostalgia, anger, etc. Admit that things are falling apart, and you gain some dignity from being capable of recognizing things for what they are, rather than burrowing deeper into a cope chamber. And possibly (maybe?) a solution somewhere down the line, who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  30. In conclusion, what's taken place is a new wave of astro-turfing, targeting the few social media outlets that were spontaneous and interesting, which is why the debate has become so generic, boring, and homogeneous over the past few years, on both the left and the right. It's so predictable that even an A.I could come up with the content at this point. This is mainly because it's all been bought by billionaires, or hijacked by some lame CIA / FBI government program to counter DiSiNfOrMaTiOn (anything that exposes widespread fraud, failure, decline, parasitism, etc).

So all the originality has been snuffed out, and instead it's cope-phrases ('nothing ever happens', 'fuck around & find out', etc) targeting the same old enemies: Muslims, states opposed to the West, the disenfranchised white working class in 1st world nations, etc. The trick is to try to give it new branding, so that it sounds like something authentic, rather than the 40 year old slop it is at this point.

They've tried to make it sound new and never-seen-before by incorporating memes, or shifting the tone so that it sounds like something your average Millennial or Zoomer would say. 'Iran is going to fuck around and find out real soon, fr fr bro'-- Jesus.

To what extent this succeeds I don't know, but I'm inclined to believe that it just gets tuned out by the masses (given how little of it trickles down into public awareness), while the social media echo-chamber dwellers become more and more out of touch, clueless, and irrelevant / opposed to reality.

    ReplyDelete
  31. One easy trick to identify how bought out someone is by the usual suspects: are they allowed to praise people who are official enemies of the West and can they admit to top-down failure?

The CIA / billionaires are perfectly fine with or even in favor of profanity, disgusting or weird memes, pornography, etc, which basically saturate the Internet now. That's why so much of the so-called "out there" material is merely gross or weird in its branding, but perfectly in line with the establishment in who it targets.

You are very much allowed to watch people die, as long as those people are Russians. But you are not allowed, even for a second, to express the notion that the Russians are winning, that the West is suicidal, etc.

Same thing in the M-E. You are allowed to enthusiastically support terrorism, as long as it targets Muslims.

This also applies to the widespread cope about how great everyone has it, how wonderful everything is, 'nothing ever happens', and so on. This is mainly because admitting that things are falling apart makes the people in charge feel bad, and exposes them for the clueless morons that they are (not the all-powerful amazing high IQ visionaries they think of themselves as). So they won't allow anyone to talk about these things.

Naturally that leaves very few outlets for anything new or interesting to be said, since the only real activity is doing propaganda for the establishment. Even worse, this wonderful, amazing, stable, high IQ establishment is blowing up in the eyes of everyone, with one failure after another, so the whole endeavor is a doomed Quixotic fight against reality, only without any of the nobility-- it's just a bunch of bitter shut-in losers whining on social media.

And this is why everything has become so boring.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Presumably it's also very demoralizing for the people who are tasked with writing this garbage, to try to keep spinning failure as SUCCESS and BASED, with one round after another of disasters striking the system.

Triple-digit inflation, planes falling out of the sky, collapsing trust and public belief in the institutions, actively committing suicide against Russia, China, Iran, junkies and homeless everywhere, impotent and useless leaders who accomplish nothing...

Fortunately I'm not part of that group, so I don't have to self-brainwash day in, day out, whether through meme phrases, or drugs, or anything like that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Now that I think about it, the whole discourse about reality being altered by your mind is really the ultimate form of NEETdom, the next level of alienation and doomerism and disenfranchisement, but trying to cope with that instead of addressing the underlying cause (the destruction / hollowing out of the economy, decimated living standards, etc).

You're retreating away from the external world, and into the prison of your own self, and then lying to and playing tricks on your mind / soul, basically. None of this alters the real world, but it does change your brain-- namely, it makes it more dependent, abnormal, repulsive to other people (since it's been decoupled from real world external feedback, AKA other people, and is now locked into some kind of closed off solipsistic stale internal feedback loop), deranged, and broken.

It's an anti-natural lifestyle, which is why it seems to only attract hardcore drug addicts and/or people with addictive tendencies in general.

The real high IQ move would be to try to heal your brain before it's too late, by not destroying it with substances, while also replacing artificial masturbatory 'validation' from fake accounts on the Internet with real praise and respect from others.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Now to some extent everyone is entirely online these days, so this is impossible, and it's somewhat fake or disingenuous to try and accuse others of being 'too online' when this is true of oneself. But there's a big difference between spending time on the Internet-- even a lot of time-- while having a real world job, a real world life, a real world source of validation, respect, sympathy, etc, and using the Internet as an artificial crutch, since you don't have anything in the real world.

Your mind will never be fooled into viewing the artificial medium as real. It's no different from not eating meat, depriving your body of all the vitamins / minerals / nutrients it needs, and then having to rely on pills, supplements, and artificial interventions. One is natural and real, the other is synthetic and fake.

Needing other people, and needing to be needed, being part of some group, being productive, all of those things are vital, basic human needs, and going without them will only induce a desperate goose chase, as your body punishes you through depression, low motivation, apathy, which you then try to solve with an increasingly wide range of interventions, before some other symptom pops up, which you then try to solve with this or that, etc etc etc, always on the defensive, always unsatisfied.

Instead of trying to solve one problem with a thousand complex, technocratic, and ultimately futile solutions, which then cascade into a bunch of 2nd-order consequences, get rid of all of them in one fell swoop!

"Big Pharma haaaaaaaates THIS one TRICK!!! (Get a job and a life)"

    ReplyDelete
  35. It reminds me of when I was a teenager, and I had acne. So then I started using different creams, but that wasn't enough. So then I started taking some supplement or another, plus the creams, but even then that didn't do it, so I had to buy some other lotion to take. And even then with the creams and the supplements and the lotion, once I got rid of some of the acne, there would be more somewhere else...

After a few years of this I discovered the paleo diet, I started eating differently (especially cutting out the high-carb junk), and then all the acne disappeared, and there was no need for creams, lotions, pills, or whatever, because the problem had been solved. Simple, and effective.

I've said this before, but this whole mind-set of spending all your time responding and reacting to a self-induced problem, but only ever addressing the symptoms (rather than the source), seems to be everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  36. A ton of modern behavior simply boils down to being too lazy or stupid to look at the underlying cause of some issue-- ie, in a systemic way-- and address that, so instead they devote endless amounts of energy to trying to mask the symptoms, a giant game of Whack-a-Mole (but without any of the fun). And of course the useless non-solutions don't fix things, they have their own consequences and thus require further solutions, and then the process repeats itself, and eventually the whole thing becomes so monstrously complex and over-optimized that it just breaks down. It's the opposite of efficiency.

The fact that this state of affairs has become widespread, whether in the economy or The Science or even our personal lives, shows that we've lost the ability to think and that it's over for things like science and knowledge in general (and has been for awhile). We haven't made progress, we've managed to go backwards, while fooling ourselves with metrics and treadmills and nonsense into thinking that we're advancing.

    ReplyDelete
  37. This dynamic of being addicted to conflict, especially over the most meaningless crap, is similar to the overproduction of elites which results in economic / civilizational catastrophes: it's the overproduction of faggots. The proliferation of faggotmaxxers results, not so much in economic collapses or political crises, but rather in the kind of atomized / hostile day-to-day life we have these days.

People who are anti-social and competitive can't hold together any social group, since social groups demand egalitarian behavior, so you wind up in a situation where most people are only really living in a social unit of 1. At most, they might form some kind of fake & gay 'partnership' so they can level their stats up together, mutual self interest, pool assets-- real romantic behavior-- but that's as far as it goes. Actual warm attachments between people are a thing of the past, at best you get cold utilitarianism and at worst it's seething hostility.

You can spot this kind of person because they're addicted to feeling superior and being right all the time, so that every little interaction has to drip with condescension and anger and superiority. They think being chill, relatable, open towards others = WEAKNESS-- that's how warped and anti-social they are.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Faggotmaxxers also don't understand how strength works, either interpersonally or societally.

In general, whenever you have to declare something to others, you are implicitly admitting that it isn't true-- if it were, you wouldn't have to say it. Obviously this goes for all of the BS that proliferates social media about being an ubermensch, high IQ, etc etc etc.

And the same is true for societies-- a society that is obsessed with displays of external strength, badass / confrontational attitude, gung-ho, etc is a weak society.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Naturally, this also applies to the Iran-Israel (and soon America?) conflict. The Israelis' obsession with creating an inflated persona of ruthlessness, high IQ, higher status, whatever is really a lame attempt at distracting from their defeat on multiple fronts, as well their real status as a dependent whiny toddler.

The applies to America and the US Military, which hasn't won a single war in the region, though that doesn't stop them from overdosing on the exact same slop.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I've been meaning to make an update post about various habits / hobbies, but I keep getting distracted by the upcoming political / economic apocalypse-- very unfortunate!

Anyways, I've been thinking about a series of posts about old-fashioned views I have, Boomer beliefs (LOL), the past WAS better, and so on... mainly to counter all the moronic disinformation on the Internet these days, whose sole aim is to brainwash people trapped in this awful society into thinking that the past must have been just as bad, nothing ever changes, life will always be miserable and you should start getting used to it, etc etc.

I have also been trying to anarcho-primitivize (?) my life, though it's of course quite difficult given the limited economic means I have access to. Nonetheless, I'm switching from a smartphone to a flip-phone, and then trying to reduce Internet consumption in general-- enough being a vegetable!

A related subject is moving / RETVRNing to rural areas, which I think has to happen eventually. The Silent and Boomer gens were some of the first to start moving into big cities, the West before then was not as urbanized as it is now, and a lot of today's decadence / lack of material prospects can be traced back to those residence patterns. At a certain point, ie now, urban migration becomes unsustainable. All career prospects have disappeared for young people-- you might as well go for an easier & more well-connected existence, closer to nature, rather than slave away for nothing in some massive shithole. The system has invested so little in us, and has so little to offer in the future, that we really have nothing to lose.

Another theme is being against pornography / masturbation, which is another psy-op. Only, unlike psychedelics, they've actually won this one, it's become totally mainstream and accepted and not just part of a niche hip sub-culture. Just like illegal immigration, today's government / society is really fundamentally pro-pornography. They spend NO EFFORT regulating it or policing it, and allow it to infest the Internet, to the point where it's easier to find hardcore porn than it is to do anything else online. Seriously, try and find a good recipe, or get Google to return results for your search, or find a link to a website that isn't part of the social media news landscape. Then think of the most disgusting fetish you can, look it up, and compare how accurate the search is. It isn't even close. I can't even begin to imagine what Uncle Ted would have thought about something like that.

Porn, video games, weed / vaping, and the rest of the NEET existence are awful, and you should really avoid that type of existence as much as possible, especially if you're young. These addictions are destroying many people. In some cases, like pornography, it's not that they kill you or cause physical damage-- they just hollow you out and drain your energy / enthusiasm for life. And when you combine unemployment, drugs / alcohol, porn-- forget about it.

In general, I'm not anti-society, but if this society is in favor of something you should instinctively be against it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The main effect these NEET addictions have is draining you of all your passions and aspirations, and then just leaving a husk of a human being. Someone that only exists to feed, but doesn't have any energy for anything else. That way you can get used to not having a job or real world existence, and sit in your room for 17+ hrs, just staring at a screen.

This is what the system wants, so fight it!

    ReplyDelete
  42. In terms of the technology I actually use, it's kind of a meme at this point but I have an older Thinkpad I got on Ebay running Linux. That's enough for pretty much everything I need a computer for. I also don't game, other than running Tetris on an emulator (furthest I've gotten is speed 16, level 5 on B-Type).

The mechanical keyboard feels great to use, too, compared to the standard chiclet keyboard.

Thinkpads are also made to be very repairable / degradable, so you don't need to trade them in if one thing goes wrong or there's some random error somewhere-- compare that with made to break newer models. It's crazy how much new stuff is so flagrantly anti-consumer these days. I try to never indulge or cooperate with corporations who behave like that.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Gay or faggot-adjacent people (to use modern terminology) have also ruined the Internet, namely by stuffing every damn website with as much bloat as possible-- ads, trackers, spam, pointless links, just why? You need a super-powered computer just to do normal browsing, it's retarded.

It makes finding anything such a chore that nobody bothers anymore, since there's so much garbage in your way. As a result, all traffic is de facto re-directed to the handful of social media and news sites that aren't infested with junk.

The problem is that these sites, especially Reddit, are retarded. In general, if Redditors can agree on something, it's almost definitely wrong; the advice you're getting is from some of the most incompetent and useless weirdos out there, not from experts. And because the only goal of social media users is to get MORE CLICKS, they also have no incentive to tell you the truth (if it's not fashionable) or more often to teach you the basic how-tos and know-how required for some area. Doing that would allow you to start figuring things out on your own, and then you would cut out the middleman rather than keep returning to the social media site, so usually whatever solution they give you consists of a number of essential things mixed in with a far larger number of irrelevant trivial things, with no guide as to how to distinguish between them. It's better for beginners in whatever area to just buy a physical book, at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Want to use the Internet? You need a $2,000 super gaming machine just to find a simple recipe.

Want a job? You're competing with the entire population of the 3rd world.

Want to own a house? It's 500K for a shed in the ghetto.

Want to buy literally anything? It's been maximally optimized to self-destruct in under 6 months, while being super expensive.

At this point, it would be more honest if instead of Western civ / America / USA they just called it the Gay Empire, and the official mascot was AIDS, since that's what it's devolved to in the 21st century.

Everything you expect to work is broken, and trying to do anything is a struggle-- but not due to malice or top-down planning or conspiracy, but because of how retarded and broken the whole thing is, and how incompetent the people running things are.

  45. A lot of non-Westerners have this very quaint, almost old-fashioned, notion of the Machine, the System, the Man, being up against them, when they describe the West these days. You can see that in the discourse about colonialism, subjugation, etc.

Now I'm not denying that we exploit people in the 3rd world, or that we kill a lot of people in pointless wars, and those aspects of the critique are true, but if you're talking about the system being orderly, disciplined, authoritarian, organized-- it's anything but!

In reality the West these days is controlled by a bunch of a suicidal junkies, who've managed to run everything into the ground in their search for their next fix-- yes, even to the point of depriving and impoverishing future generations of whites / Americans / Euros. It's unhinged, hopeless, and frankly pathetic-- but they don't care.

  46. The retarded right-wingers also repeat this lie, but from the other direction.

They keep on saying how we need to exploit 3rd worlders/ browns / inferiors harder, how we must do what is in our Darwinian self-interest, regardless of weak peasant moral concerns, and so and so forth-- Western civ and all that.

In the real world, the net effect of the policies they champion is the *opposite* of genetic self-interest, they're making the white, Euro / American, Christian people of the West poorer, less dominant, weaker, and more vulnerable compared to all these countries and people they say are our competitors or enemies or whatever.

Their trade deals industrialized China, lifting them out of poverty, while sending millions of Americans into the service sector and retail hell and perpetual downward mobility, so that now entire cities are falling into decay, the infrastructure is collapsing, people live out on the streets like animals, etc.

Their pointless wars -- all of which we lose-- just makes us look weaker to Iran / Russia / China / whoever, encouraging every nation big or small to fuck with us, and it makes us poorer due to the soaring debt-- or by cutting us off from important resources we desperately need, like the counter-productive sanctions against Russia: a self-imposed tax! Nothing more Darwinian than shooting yourself in the foot, for no reason, and for no benefit (long or short-term).

Same with their search for endless quarterly profits-- just squeezing the life out of the society, until it eventually turns into a dead husk, as nobody has any money or real wealth left.

  47. Some music I really like:

I'm not claiming to be the most unique person out there, obviously all of these songs are fairly well known (at a certain point trying to out compete people for the most shocking new or out there song is pointless), I'm posting them to establish the mood I enjoy the most.

If I could describe it I'd say I like a mixture of dark / depressed / gloomy but also dance-able and fun. Kind of a strange mood. Any movies or TV shows that hit on that vibe are also appreciated, and maybe I'll post some if I can think of them.

I used to listen to the kind of emo / rap that Rintrah would post (back when his blog was still alive) but I stopped doing that once I was no longer in my depressed NEET phase. I think the main reason why I don't resonate with that as much anymore is because the main emotion fueling all of those songs is rage / self-loathing. The disdain for other people and anger is too dialed up to 11 and I find it hard to relate to that feeling. I also think it scares off a lot of potential listeners and/or those who can identify with being down and out or emo or whatever but don't want to stew in school shooter levels of self-righteous rage.
